Tile installations and masonry run deep in the Haven family's history—so deep, in fact, we’re pretty sure our first words were "level," "square," and "plumb." Growing up in a large family with several members already in the trade, learning the ropes wasn't a choice; it was a birthright (and a free labor source for our uncles).

Fast forward 25 years and countless projects, and we're confidently bringing that legacy to Brunswick County.

We cut our teeth in the early 2000s in California, where we learned the classic art of "mud floating" walls and floors. Back then, we mixed 4 sand, 1 lime, and 1 cement (dry, then wet) for walls, and a hardy 7-to-1 mix for floors. It was hard work, requiring a master’s touch with a hawk and trowel to achieve those perfectly flat surfaces. We got very good at holding a level and plumb bob—mostly because we were too young to argue otherwise.

Things have thankfully come a long way since the "good old days."

We’ve moved past the literal mud-slinging. While we cherish the robust integrity that old-school mud-floating provided, we’ve fully embraced 2026’s waterproof foam boards and modern, high-tech installation systems. We also took a brief (but important) break from tile early on to proudly serve our great country in the United States military. We brought the discipline we learned there back to the civilian world, and now we serve our local community with the same dedication.
